What Is History And Why Do We Study It?

History is learning about the past, and helps us better understand the future. With history, we can see patterns in today's world. We found that there was a continuous heat at the equator all year round, and continuos cold near the axis of earth. We use history to build new machines and designs from other structures, such as the Egyptian Pyramids, and the Mayan Temples. We look to the past, to form our future. We use history to understand events that happen. It helps us understand one and the other. History trains us to help see ourselves better, so we can improve.                                                                                                                                              "A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history."
-Mohandas Ghandi
I think that this quote best describes history because it clearly states the truth about history: Anyone who is persistent enough can change history and all those people who have have been persistent.

  1. I like how you gave some examples of the Egyption pyramids and Mayan Temples. I like how you said that it trains us so we can be better people and improve.
